2022 Model Competition Results

2022 marks the eighth annual North Queensland Scale Modellers Inc. Expo and Competition and the seventh to be hosted at the Jezzine Barracks Army Museum. This year’s event held on 1 and 2 Oct, was our biggest and best to date with several records broken!

Thirty local modellers including friends from Mackay and Rockhampton displayed a record 217 models with more than 190 entered in the 15 categories of competition. Full results are detailed below.

Over $1600 (50% more than average) was raised for our beneficiary charities Fetch Assistance Dogs, Mates4Mates and Real Mates Talk.  The display was viewed with great interest by more than 300 visitors on the public open day.

The Young Modeller category attracted 18 models from six junior entrants, inspiration for the future of scale model making.

We thank our hosts the Jezzine Barracks Military Museum and our generous sponsors (side bar) for their support.

We look forward to the Rocky and Mackay Comps in the new year.

Remember "Stay calm and keep modelling"
